Jacqueline has been singing around Melbourne, regional Victoria, interstate Australia, Japan and the High Seas since becoming a card carrying member of Actor’s Equity in February, 1989. Her first professional gig involved a two week intensive music boot camp where she learnt 12 songs (2 of them in Japanese) and had 4 full days of cramming choreography, pinning costumes made for  someone else, all whilst sporting 6 inch heels and head wear Carmen Miranda would’ve been proud of.

Fast forwarding 27 years on and not much has changed in Jacqueline’s career. She is often found dancing up a storm in snakeskin lycra and platform heels and singing pop marathons to screaming hoards of music lovers.

Her repertoire has expanded somewhat to include Evergreens (standards) from many popular song genres ranging from early Jazz through to the likes of Edith Piaf, The Beatles, The Carpenters, Abba, Roberta Flack, to name a few.

Jacqui has the capacity to hold an audience captive with the paradox of both her seasoned strength and her human fragility. These two elements are the things that keep her excited and constantly learning as she uses the many years of study and training attained from time spent at the V.C.A and the hours spent working with some of Australia’s best loved, world class performers.

Jacqui has a performing style that utilizes her audience as her “sometimes” silent accompanists. Whether she is singing in a cosy piano bar and harmonizing with great Aussie Jazz Legends or kicking her feet up on large stages and belting out Pop Standards to thousands of delighted Abba Fans, her delivery includes everybody in her heartfelt, always present, storytelling.
